Waiting (2)

My mum’s last days…

There are different types of waiting Different ways of waiting And different things to wait for

Sometimes we know how long a wait will be And sometimes we don’t Sometimes that can be hard

What do we do whilst we wait? Is the waiting a waste of time Or can we make good use of it?

When we are awaiting something good Does that make it easier? Knowing it will be positive

When we are awaiting the inevitable We know what will happen But not when

We can’t change the length of the wait Can we? The timing is in God’s hands

But we do wish time away And sometimes miss things that way We don’t value what we have

Is it wrong to wish for a short wait? When the thing that will happen is bad And we want to get it over and done with?!
