My Hair
I know I really oughtn’t to whinge But my hair has gained a silver tinge Or some may actually choose to say That a lot of it has now turned grey And sometimes I give myself a fright When I see how much of it is white Yet other people rightly declare I should be grateful I’ve still got hair Although that also is a surprise Because so much on the carpet lies And how much is in the sink’s plughole? Quite prob’ly enough to fill a bowl!
