Remembering Places
I wonder if you also find That places bring mem’ries to mind?
At Whipsnade there is a large zoo Where doorstep sandwiches I’d chew
Whilst Silverstone racing circuit Reminds me of being car sick
I recall, when trav’ling through Bath Phil proposed there, on the cliff path
In Weston, with extensive beach That’s where I tried, and failed, to teach
Crossing the river bridge in York Is where I called my dad to talk
When we got back from Stowmarket Herbie, our sweet cat, did cark it
So where is it that you have been That triggers what you’ve done and seen?
