Christmas Day is over

Inspired by the old hymn 'Now the day is over'

Christmas Day is over, Boxing Day draws nigh. We wonder how many Now let out a sigh.

Jesus, give those worn out Some really good sleep. Rain a Christmas blessing down on those who weep.

Comfort ev’ry person Who is under strain. Bring them relief that they’ll Soon know joy again.

Thro’ long festivities May everyone know That we are celebrating How love you did show.

And when morning soon comes On this Boxing Day Help me, please, to do right And walk in your way.
