What's British?

How can you tell a true Brit? What stereotype might they fit? Is there, maybe, a common thread In what they do or something said?

It doesn’t matter where or whenever They love to talk about the weather At the hairdressers or on the bus They really do like to make a fuss

To me, it seems quite calm And doesn’t often lead to harm It definitely does not seem That it is very extreme

Normally winters are mild And any storms aren’t too wild But when the winds howl They do start to growl

And when it starts to rain They become most certain That if much more comes down They will definitely drown

One thing they seem to crave Is the annual heat wave Constantly they seem to yearn For temperatures that burn

And yet, when it gets hot They seem to moan a lot And struggle to deal With the heat they feel

Whatever the weather is They do get in such a tis And with every refrain All they do is complain!
