Loss

When you have to say goodbye It is quite natural to cry And you may well wonder why Your loved one had to go and die

As you go through a time of grief It may be tinged with some relief If your loved one was in pain You know they won’t suffer again

One really cannot put a cost On the life of one you have lost And it is very hard to measure The value of memories you treasure

Think about some happy days And maybe their little ways Remember special things they’d do Secrets that maybe only you knew

You are most likely to find Many things come to mind So you may not be very fast To move on from the past

But hopefully it’ll be one day That things don’t seem so grey It may help to be reflective See things from a fresh perspective

Sometimes we just need to ‘be’ And not from our thoughts to flee You can find at times of hurt Many people offer you comfort

And though the days may pass by slow I am certain that you will grow In the way that you love and care And with others your life do share
