Lockdown 3

Here we are in lockdown 3 Wishing that we all were free It doesn’t seem fair or right That restrictions are so tight

It’s now 2021 But the battle’s not yet won We are not allowed to mix Until they sort out a fix

After working in the lab They’ve created a new jab But you’ll need to join a queue Before your vaccine is due

So many people are ill That our hospitals they fill We are told to stay indoors Help eradicate the cause

Children now should learn from home And on the streets should not roam We can’t to the office go For many months in a row

Exercise but once a day As close to home we must stay And if we should see a friend To ignore them must pretend

For we’re not allowed to meet Nor go to a pub to eat Many more shops have been shut It seems life is in a rut

One day this will be the past That time cannot come too fast As we all long to be near To the ones that we hold dear

Meanwhile we’ve a hope that’s sure God’s love always will endure Whatever you’re going through His loving arms will hold you
