What is it that makes a good friend? Someone on whom you can depend They will try not you to offend But their good wishes to you send

They’ll take time to get to know you To understand what you’ve been through They’ll want to join in what you do And always listen to your view

This all seems to be a big ask Maybe an impossible task Or a quite tricky multitask When you can’t hide behind a mask

But there is one who can fulfil Each and every single skill For the Lord God does fit the bill And being our friend is His will
