Christmas
When you strip back the tinsel And the peripheral stuff What is it about Christmas That means we make so much fuss?
When your turkey is all gone And the batteries are flat What is it we’re then left with That tells us what it’s about?
When the new toys are broken And relationships are strained What’s our hope for the future That will help sustain our lives?
When this season is over And life again is mundane What’s left is simply Jesus He is all that this world needs
