Grief and Relief

Written about the passing of both elderly parents within the space of six months.

Despite difficulty and grief ‘Twas also a sense of relief Although these times were very sad They could also be tinged with glad For now they would have no more pain And they’d be together again Much time and effort did invest To ensure that they had the best But this did cause a lot of strain Which we no longer must maintain
