Too nice

I’ve got a flower pot With a pic on the side But it is far too nice To put compost inside

I’ve got a pretty bin With decorative pattern Which makes it far too nice To put my rubbish in

I’ve got a washing bowl All sparkly, clean and new So it is far too nice To put soiled mugs into

I’ve got a cleaning cloth Still pristine and untouched That it is far too nice To use to wipe up mess

I’ve got a new pencil With a souv’nir logo Making it far too nice To write with and sharpen

I’ve got a fresh notebook Without a mark on it Meaning it’s far too nice To scribble and write on

I’ve got a cute laptray Which could be so useful But it is far too nice To risk my spoiling it

I’ve got wellington boots That are so spick and span Which makes them far too nice To wear in the garden

I’ve got an umbrella All folded up and dry So it is far too nice To take out in the rain

I’ve got a bicycle That’s just had a service That it is far too nice To take it for a spin

I’ve got a brand new dress That looks and feels lovely Making it far too nice To wear it anywhere

I’ve got an apron Fresh out of the packet Meaning it’s far too nice To wear for my baking

And so I’ve filled my house With far more than I need With stuff I just don’t use Because it’s far too nice!
