Life is fragile
Lying there You look so fragile You look so delicate Lines in, lines out Tubes, screens, monitors You’re quite peaceful
You wake up You open your eyes But can you see? We speak But can you hear? You cannot speak You cannot respond How can you be so present And yet so absent?
For you Life is on pause But for how long? There is no rewind The time has gone But you are unaware
For us Life drags on and on We wonder how long We want to fast forward To get to the happy ending But we don’t have the control
