Today I rode some of your routes Went where I knew you had been I remembered the place names I remembered you telling me I wanted to check the way But you’re not here to ask
You would have enjoyed where we went Seeing what we saw Doing what we did You would have shared it with us But you’re not here now
I wish I had listened more Paid more attention Asked more questions Simply been there more But that opportunity has gone
But I do recall the good The things we shared, the food It reminds me to appreciate more The people I adore
