The Jab
A long time it had been Waiting for my vaccine Finally, off to STEAM Greeted by a large team
So many people here But mustn’t stand too near Queue first to give my name Then tell them why I came!
Waiting in line for my jab Ready for that small stab Herded along like sheep In my lane I must keep
Signs tell me to prepare Roll my sleeve up with care For how long must I queue Surely my turn’s soon due!?
At last, I’m number one Not long until I’m done Shown over to a chair Anything to declare?
It’s just one tiny prick All over very quick Then signalled to the door Must come back for one more
