As I look out…

As I look out what do I see?Photo of fields - like a patchwork quilt The world laid out in front of me The fields look like a patchwork quiltPhoto of sheep in a field The lakes like something someone’s spilt

The varied hues of brown through grey The vibrant yellow of the hayPhoto of fields of yellow hay The cows come in cream, black and white They’re certainly not a rare sight

And many farmers also keepPhoto of egrets on an estuary Fields full of mottled off-white sheep When we travel by the seashore There are more sights for us in store

Waves crashing against stones and rocks Waders, shags, egrets, many flocks Ships and boats floating miles away Move hither, thither, as they swayPhoto of some ships on the horizon
