As I look out…
As I look out what do I see?
The world laid out in front of me
The fields look like a patchwork quilt
The lakes like something someone’s spilt
The varied hues of brown through grey
The vibrant yellow of the hay
The cows come in cream, black and white
They’re certainly not a rare sight
And many farmers also keep
Fields full of mottled off-white sheep
When we travel by the seashore
There are more sights for us in store
Waves crashing against stones and rocks
Waders, shags, egrets, many flocks
Ships and boats floating miles away
Move hither, thither, as they sway
