I’m writing to say That for Phil’s birthday We took time away In Portsmouth to stay

Travelodge our host Enjoyed the south coast Of privs made the most (1) Though we will not boast

Amazed at no rain ‘twas much to our gain Travelled far by train Walked the path – chain (2)

Looked over the sea Where Isle of Wight be Time flew by quickly So it seemed to me

Brightly shone the sun Our last day begun We’d had so much fun But now trip was done
