During our holiday in Ireland, in July 2022, we visited Limerick and passed through Kilkenny. We wondered what all the flags were in aid of... Then, on the Sunday morning, we found the train to Dublin was packed with fans going to the senior finals of hurling! And the streets of Dublin were teeming with people all day.
