Tinkers Park
After the night
Came the first light
A bright blue sky
Quite cold but dry
We’ve got to say
It’s a fine day
As we embark
To Tinkers Park
Where an array
Was on display
Engines in steam
Polished to gleam
Lots of traction Was in action Round the outside A train to ride
And there to view Cars old not new Some I recall When I was small
We heard the sound Of the fairground By music made On organ played
But what was that? Oh, yes, a cat On the man’s back That’s quite a knack!
