I Tawt I Taw a Puddy Tat, I Did, I Taw a Puddy Tat

I Tawt I Taw a Puddy Tat I Did, I Taw a Puddy Tat We were at Bath Spa Stood at platform 2 Waiting, just waiting When I looked across Beyond the station Beyond the canopy To the green hillside To the luscious trees To the many houses To all their rooftops

And I saw movement It was something white So I fixed my gaze And stared, just waiting Watching and waiting Then oh so deftly It went onto the Adjacent rooftop A cat, it was a cat

Definitely a cat It was, my heart rose I told this to my Trav’ling companions But they asked of me ‘Exactly where?’ ‘Right up there…’ I said But in that moment It had gone, all gone Oh how my heart sank And we still waited
