The Sting

I was enjoying my ride until something Decided to give me a nasty sting I really don’t know what it was got me A wasp, some kind of plant, or a bumble bee? But what I do know is it really hurt

There, above my knee, just under my skirt Whatever it was had left a black bit So, with some work, I got rid of it

My skin then turned a shade of bright red raw And boy, was it itchy, and very sore I had a long think, but there did not seem Much I could do, apart from adding cream

This sting has put me through the hardest test As I’ve needed to try my very best Not to give in to the strong temptation To rub and scratch at the irritation

For how much longer will I have to wait For these symptoms to go away, or abate? They are really starting to annoy me And my poor leg is still quite unsightly!
