The Christchurch incident

I thought we’d take a trip to the sea But it seems it wasn’t meant to be Our travel had all been going fine Until there was a bike on the line

We really don’t know how it got there But it gave the driver quite a scare It made an almighty thud and thump As over it the train wheels did bump

And when we saw puffs and plumes of smoke We knew something had definit’ly broke Though we did an emergency stop The bike ended up getting the chop

Bits got caught up in the underneath And thus they were very hard to reach So it was quite a situation But with the rear doors in the station

It wasn’t quite so much of a pain As there we were able to detrain Time was now starting to get quite late But we heard nothing just had to wait

And it was unfortunate for us That there was no available bus Caught out again by an England game Guess that’s why their drivers never came

But taxi drivers obvs didn’t care So they made a mint with many-a-fare Thus we made it back to Brockenhurst That trip to the sea had been our worst!
