There’s a weather vane cat aloft The old windmill at Avoncroft He said, ‘From my weathervane I can see Lots of people smaller than me Wand’ring around Avoncroft’s site With some re-enacting a fight Yes, tents are up from time of war Representing both rich and poor It’s much busier than some days Seems there’s a 1940s craze Whilst the little train on the track Just takes people to there and back And the many buildings still stand That once were moved onto this land Seems there is much to see and do If only I could come down too!’
