At last...
At last this special day has dawned And all the guests have been informed It seems to have been a long wait Since when they set the wedding date
They wrote out an enormous list To ensure that nothing got missed There seemed so much that must be planned And some have tried to lend a hand
The church and hall have all been booked
And meals chosen that will be cooked
A bakery was asked to make
A most delicious wedding cake
Around which runs a little train
I bet you won’t see that again
They’ve got cups, plates, spoons, knives and forks And some people have written talks Tables and flowers have been arranged And messages and details exchanged
Surely we must be nearly there As there’s no more time to prepare Let’s hope in the heat of the day They both remember what to say!
