Life can be full of surprises, good and bad Life can be uncertain It can be scary or happy or tedious or thrilling We often don’t know what will happen We often complain when things are mundane But then we don’t like the unusual

We never seem to be satisfied with our life No matter what sort of life we have We envy others, we want what they have The wealthy say that they can’t buy happiness Is that what we truly want in life? Will that really satisfy?

We only get one life One chance at life That is a certainty It would be wise to consider how we use it Wise not to abuse it, ourselves or others For in the end we will lose it – that is sure!

And our life is made up of years Though we don’t know how many And years combine many days Days – hours, hours – minutes, minutes – seconds Or moments? Make the most of every day, every moment
