The Fruits of the Spirit

The Spirit fruits release – Love and joy, patience and peace, Kindness, goodness, faithfulness Self-control and gentleness

Love is patient, love is kind Love will keep others in mind Putting their interests first Seeking the best not the worst

Joy is more than happiness Sent from God to us to bless It’s a feeling of content What we feel when we repent

Peace is more than lack of sound True peace in God can be found It’s more than just being still It’s knowing we’re in God’s will

Patience is not just a wait Or coping when things are late It’s accepting how things were Enduring without anger

Kindness – more than being nice It’s showing love despite price Giving thought to what we do Caring lots no matter who

Goodness is when we live right Doing things well in God’s sight Turning from the way of wrong Because to please God we long

Faithfulness is about trust Doing what we know we must To our promises we’re true What we say we follow through

Gentleness – a loving trait Means we won’t retaliate But we will live lives of calm Not doing to others harm

Self-control shows discipline Keeping yourself from each sin As you learn how Him to obey And live out life in God’s way

When the Spirit lives in you All of his fruits can grow too Flowing down from heaven above Demonstrating all God’s love
