Don't be Afraid

Now for well over a year Many have had so much fear Yet to those who are dismayed The Bible says, ‘Don’t be afraid!’

In old and new testament God’s faithfulness is present And so when things us do scare Of those words let’s be aware

For the holy angels spake To hearers who in fear quake The shepherds out in the field When the good news was revealed

And Jesus said it to men Time and time and time again To souls who were feeling weak To those for whom life looked bleak

But maybe not all have heard Of this message in God’s word As He tries to reassure We’ve got His strength to endure

Many times God says ‘Fear not!’ Just in case we had forgot Once for each day of the year He knows this we need to hear
