Teach us to Pray
The disciples asked ‘Lord, teach us to pray’ And this is what Jesus did say
Father – Carer, parent, guardian, teacher Sovereign, God, Lord, majesty
Hallowed be Your name – Holy, sacred, special, blessed Praised, worthy, mighty, powerful All God, over all
Your kingdom come – Reign, rule, take control Have the power, have the glory, have Your way Your will, Your world, in Your time
Give us each day Our daily bread – Help us, bless us, provide Sustain, nourish, regularly Consistently, abundantly
Forgive us our sins – Rebuke us, correct us Improve us, remake us
For we also forgive everyone who sins against us – We need to, we must learn To forgive, to forgive all The onus Is on us
And lead us not into temptation – Keep us, guard us, guide us, save us Divert, distract, defend
